Ms Kitty Wells
No. 1. Single A Woman’s Work Australia 1997. Jean recorded a duet with the late Miss Kitty Wells and the Jordanaires/USA. She was presented two Gold Albums (CD) which were Finest Collection and That Say’s It All on stage by Miss Kitty Wells on behalf of Dino Music.
Commissioner for tourism
Jean was appointed the Honorary Commissioner for Tourism from the State of Tasmania to the USA in 1992.
Cherokee Indian Nation
Jean was the guest of the Cherokee Indian Nation North Carolina USA.
Keys to the city
Jean was presented the Keys To The City of Nashville USA, by the Mayor of Nashville in June 1991 for services to Country Music in America. She was also presented with the Tennessee State Flag by Mr. John Arriola, State Representative, on behalf of the Tennessee Government and the Citizens of Tennessee at the State Capital Building Nashville.
Honourary citizen
Jean was made an Hounary Citizen of the State of Tennessee by Governor Ned McWherter in 1991 for services to Country Music in America.
Tamworth City flag
The Premier of the state of NSW, Mr. Nick Greiner MHA, presented Jean an Australian flag and a letter of recommendation and support to the Governor of Tennessee. The Mayor of Tamworth, Mr. David John presented Jean a Tamworth City flag and a letter of recommendation and support to the Mayor of Nashville.
Inaugural ARIA Awards 1987
The first year for the ARIA Awards in 1987 had no Country Music category. Jean was voted in as the only Country Music Artist finalist as an equal across all facets of the music industry for Female Vocalist of the Year. The nomination came from her third EMI album Burning Bright.
Frank Ifield
Jean toured with International Country Music Star Frank Ifield in Tasmania.
Fanfair
Jean appeared at Fanfair as special guest in Nashville USA in 1983.
Golden Guitar Awards
Jean is the winner of three Golden Guitars Australasian Country Music Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year. Now under the banner of the CMAA, Jean was the first and the youngest Australian born female ever to win a Golden Guitar for Female Vocalist of the Year.
