Jean Stafford was the first Australian born to win the Female Vocalist of the Year Golden Guitar and subsequent multi-award winning Golden Guitars in 1975, 1980 and 1981. Jean was crowned Australia’s Queen of Country Music in Sydney in 1989.
Jean has recorded with a number of legendary industry figures including the late Miss Kitty Wells, Jimmy Crawford, Smoky Dawson, Jimmy Little and the Ted Mulry plus a multitude of others which can be seen on the About Jean page.
Jeans most recent album, Let The Dance Begin, has been acclaimed by critics both in Australia and Nashville as the greatest Country Album she has recorded over her illustrious career. The album was recorded in Nashville Tennessee with some of the true legendary musicians of Country Music including Lloyd Green, John Hughey, Pig Robbins, Gene Chrisman and Brent Mason.

Jean Stafford is one of Australia’s most awarded Female Country Artist.
After being crowned Queen of Country Music in Sydney NSW and the opportunity to tour and record with her idol, the late Kitty Wells (American Queen of Country), Jean has a career spanning over 40 years reaching double Platinum status in CD sales. She also had two songs reach number 1 in nine countries plus great success and recognition throughout Australia, USA, NZ, parts of Europe.
Jean is still going strong and about to embark on her 2019 “Let the Dance Begin” tour and a new album set to be released early next year.
